In 1990 the Red Arrows visited the Soviet Union for the first time. The event took place on military airbase Borispol near Kiev. The pictures show the Reds its support aircraft and a Mi-8 based there. We got permission to show you these rare photos that were by a service man on duty over there. The quality of the photos may not be up to today’s standard but as they are more than 15 years old and colour film were rare in the Soviet Union. Nevertheless it is interesting to see history as it happened.
