The JaboG33 consists of 1600 service men and employs around 500 civil contractors and is made up of Stab JaboG33 (administration), Fliegende Gruppe (Flying Group consisting of the 1st and 2nd squadron, the Flugbetriebsstaffel and the weather service). The Flugbetriebsstaffel is mainly responsible for ATC and AIS as well as keeping radar and communication facilities ready. Another part of the wing is the Technische Gruppe (Technical Group) that consists of the maintenance squadron, the weapon squadron, the electronic squadron and a supply squadron.
Here we go with the pictures of the photocall. Unfortunately there were no flying activities of the Tornados as they had been ground to investigate an ejection seat problem that occurred a couple of days ago.
