The airbase Erding celebrated its 50th anniversary. On June 1^st 1956 the Luftwaffenmaterialkommando was established there. Since then Erding is a synonym for logistics. Today the base is home of the Flugabwehrraketengeschwader 5 and Luftwaffeninstandhaltungsregiment 1. In advance of the Open House day a photocall was held with several aircraft of the German Armed Forces and foreign air forces.
