A number of changes at senior management level were approved at the Ordinary General Meeting of Pilatus Aircraft Ltd on June 27, 2006.
Oscar J. Schwenk, formerly President and CEO, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors. He takes over from Peter Küpfer, who is stepping down after eight years. Oscar J. Schwenk has been with Pilatus Aircraft Ltd in various managerial functions for some 25 years; he has been Managing Director since 1994. Pilatus has performed very well during this period, and will now continue to benefit from Oscar J. Schwenk's wealth of experience and excellent relationships with customers, suppliers, the authorities and staff. He will assume his new position from July 1, 2006. As Chairman of all our subsidiaries he will also continue to cultivate international contacts.
Members Gerhard Beindorff and Peter Ruof were re-elected to the Board of Directors; the new members are Gratian Anda, who was also elected Vice Chairman, and Björn Bajan.
The Board of Directors further elected Thomas Bosshard as the new CEO of Pilatus Aircraft Ltd with effect from July 1, 2006. Mr Bosshard is 46 years old, holds Bachelor Degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration and has been a member of the Pilatus team for the past twelve years. He originally occupied a managerial position in Production before his involvement in setting up our subsidiary, Pilatus Business Aircraft, Ltd., USA, which he has managed as President & CEO for the past four years. He is currently working as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with Pilatus Stans. The Board of Directors is delighted that a competent manager from the company's own ranks has been nominated for this demanding position and wishes him every success and much satisfaction in his new function.
