Like every year the JaboG33 held a Photocall. Unfortunately the wing didn't had the opportunity to celebrate its 50th anniversary with an Open House day. Only a couple of departures and landings could be seen. At least the unit put a considerable number of Tornado IDS on display in several colour schemes existing at the moment. Nowadays Tornados receive a gray scheme when going through the depot level maintenance and the photographers were happy to take photos of Tornados in camouflage and the old navy scheme. The unit received quite a lot of ex MFG2 aircraft. A short history of the fighter-bomber wing was posted last year in connection with Photocall 2005. More information about the JaboG33 can be found in the book "Jagdbombergeschwader 33 - Ein Luftwaffenverband stellt sich vor" which is available at the unit.
